The Canyon Run and NextGen Aerospace booth

Canyon Run returns from our first MRO Americas show where we were able to bring down two of our new systems for NDT in the aerospace industry, as well other general NDT Tooling, drawing crowds and interest.

Sharing our booth, NextGen Aerospace Technologies, a new start up in the engine maintenance sector, were able to show off their latest technology. Using ultrasonic energy, the NextGen Aerospace ultrasonic wrench was developed to tackle an issues that’s as old as fasteners themselves, removing stuck bolts without breaking them. Capable of reducing the break away torque in bolts, located in hot sections of the engine, by up to %50 using NextGens patent pending ultrasonic energy.

The Canyon Run Automated High Precision polishing system drew lots of attention with a halved CF6-80C Spool to demonstrate the new internal cleaning systems technology. With more stringent requirements to inspect all internal cavities or rotatable engine components, this system was developed to cut down on processing time and help remove the risk of rejecting good parts due to false inspection readings.
