JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work-piece as guides for subsequent machining
- Select, align, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant, flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit Computerized Machine Control media
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required
- Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications
- Design tools, jigs, fixtures and templates to use as work aids
- Troubleshoot problems and recommend design changes regarding construction and function of molds and fixtures

A preferred candidate for this position will have additional expertise in CNC Lathe programming/operating. As the EDM operator, this position will involve the manufacturing of detailed and complex components for both R&D and the manufacturing of designed systems.
Full-time position. Working hours are Monday - Thursday 6:30am to 5pm, Overtime as needed.

- Exhibits proficiency with wire EDM machining, additional CNC Lathe skills a plus

- Working knowledge of Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, surface grinders, jig grinders, ID/OD grinders, CNC lathes, EDM sinker machines and miscellaneous tool room equipment preferred
